| Jamie LaMaster Head Coach jlamaster@kcs.kana.k12.wv.us Jamie LaMaster is entering his third season as the Head Coach of the Lady Patriots. Coach LaMaster's record in his first two seasons was a combined 25-24. Coach LaMaster took the Lady Patriots to the State Tournament in only his second season and for the first time since 1999. The Lady Patriots advanced to the semi finals before being defeated by the Parkersburg South Patriots. Coach LaMaster is looking forward to this season with the Young Lady Patriots. Before taking the GW job Coach LaMaster's was the head coach at Horace Mann Middle School from 1996-2003 acquiring a record of 104-41 and winning 2 regular season championships (2000,2003) and 1 Tournament Championship in 2000. Coach LaMaster has had coaching experience in football at Sissonville Middle, Capital High and currently at George Washington High and has coached girls track and Boy's Tennis at Horace Mann Middle School .Coach LaMaster graduated from Tygarts Valley High School in 1992 and graduated from West Virginia State College in 2000 with a BS in Social Studies Education. He is currently working on his Masters Degree in Behavioral Disorders. Coach is happily married to his wife Ashlee and has two children Harley and Hayden and they live in Kanawha City. Brian Pratt Assistant Coach bjpratt24@charter.net Shawn Wheeler Freshman Coach swheeler@gwgirlsbasketball.com Shawn is entering his second year on the Lady Patriot coaching staff, working as the Freshmen girls coach. Before coaching at George Washington Shawn was the assistant boys basketball at Hurricane Middle School from 1999-2002. In 2004 he took the boys freshmen coaching position at Poca High School. In the inaugural freshmen season for the Lady Patriots, Shawn took the team on the road by only having 5 of their 16 games at home. The team had to travel to Morgantown, Preston County, Russell,Ky., Fairmont twice and Parkersburg four times. The trips to Parkersburg paid off. The 2006-2007 Freshmen Lady Patriots were invited to join the Wood County Basketball League.Shawn attended Hurricane High School were he lettered in Football, Basketball, and track. He then earned a BS in Physical Education from West Virginia State University. He is now teaching Behavior Disorders at Nitro High School.
